United Methodist Women

Cornelia Johnson Women's Circle

The energetic women of our church meet every first Tuesday at 7 p.m. from September-May in the Fellowship Hall.  Each meeting consists of a short program, snacks and fellowship.  Some meetings include a group activity such as assembling food "care packages" for our members in college or the military or assembling health kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).  We have an annual Pancake Fundraiser at our local McDonald's with proceeds going to help with our Back to School project every year.  Our Back to School project provides bookbags and school supplies to chidren in our community.  Lisa Isham is our coordinator for this project.

Another important project includes preparing and delivering home-cooked meals for the homebound, sick and grieving members of our church and others in the community.  This is done once a month on the Thursday following our Tuesday meeting.

These are just a few of the outreach efforts of the Women's Circle.  They are constantly coming up with new ways to demonstrate the love of God.  They would love to have you join them.
