You've often heard "membership has its privileges."  It does  If you want to really be a part of our church family, serve in leadership positions and vote on decisions affecting our future, you need to join the church.   

It's easy to join.  If you are baptized and are a member of another church and want to join Washington First UMC, you can by telling the pastor and she will conduct a brief welcoming service.  

If you aren't baptized, we invite you to talk with the pastor.  She will talk with you about the significance of baptism and help you choose a date and a way to be baptized.  We believe in baptizing with the Holy Spirit and water  by either pouring, sprinkling or immersion. The same day you are baptized, you will join the church in a simple service welcoming you into the family!
