Welcome! We're so glad you are here. We'd love to meet and get to know you. You are welcome to come by anytime and visit with the Pastor and see our magnificant sanctuary! We have a radio program every Sunday morning on AM 1370 at 9:00 A.M. Listening to this thirty minute program will start your week with uplifting music and Biblical Christian teachings. Sunday School is sort of a school, but really is an opportunity for all ages to join groups, make friends that really care about each other. We have Sunday School groups for all ages every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM lasting no more than an hour. The different groups study different things such as the Bible, Contemporary Topics and deepening our Spirituality We even have a nursery and classes for children and youth of all ages. Sunday School provides the opportunity for everyone in the family to make new friends, study the Bible and learn how to better live our beliefs. After Sunday School our worship service begins at 11:15 and includes wonderful music, prayer and Biblical preaching.
During the School Year, except in December, we enjoy family night suppers on Wednesday nights at 6:15. You're invited to come enjoy a delicious catered meal and meet new friends. The cost of the meal is $5/person, $4 for seniors, with a maximum of $15 for families. The meal includes everything from salad, to main course, to desserts and your drink. At 7:00 our children and youth have special activities until 7:30. If you love to sing, you'll enjoy our chancel choir which practices Wednesday evenings at 7:00.
We have choirs for children and adults that are noted as being outstanding in our community. If you sing, you'll want to be part of this wonderful opportunity!
During the summer we have many activities for children and students.
We have an excellent program for students in middle and high school helping them discover who they are in Jesus Christ. Please click "students" for more information.
If you want to be part of a group that makes a difference in our community, this is the place to be. We are part of God's Marketplace, Inc's thrift store and food pantry. We have a life-changing Prison Ministry at the Wilkes Pre-Release Center. We support Scouting, Red Cross Blood Drives and other activities meet here. Free lunch and a movie on Wednesdays will continue through March.
Sunday, March 28, after worship we will enjoy a wonderful lunch and an Amazing Auction! The Cornelia Johnson Circle is cooking a delicious lunch and all donations will be given to pay off the fellowship hall note. Afterwards at our Amazing Auction, Beach Condos, a lake house, jewelry and other treasures as well as talents will be auctioned. All proceeds will go to retire the note on our Fellowship Hall. You are invited to come and have a wonderful time.
Our Free Lenten Lunch during Holy Week will be Wednesday, March 31 at noon. David Jones will share a brief devotional.
